Calloway County Fire-Rescue

Proudly serving the citizens of Calloway County, Kentucky since 1980

An ISO (Insurance Services Office) rating is a score from 1 to 10 assigned to communities based on their fire protection capabilities. A lower number indicates better fire protection, with a Class 1 being the best and a Class 10 indicating that the fire department doesn't meet the minimum standards. Insurance companies often use these ratings to help determine property insurance premiums.

In January of 2016, the ISO class rating for Calloway County dropped from a Class 7 rating to a Class 6 rating. Then in January of 2024, the ISO rating for Calloway County was upgraded from a Class 6 rating to a Class 5 rating, mostly due to equipment upgrades over the last few years. This helped lower home insurance rates across our county starting in April of 2024.
